We correct errors promptly, transparently, and with clear documentation. This page records every substantive correction made to our content — and explains how we ensure what we publish is accurate.
We take accuracy seriously. When we get something wrong, we correct it, log it, and explain the change. Our corrections policy is part of our editorial standards and our commitment to transparency.
Full policy, how to report an error, and the complete log are below.
We correct errors as soon as we become aware of them, and we do so transparently. Every substantive change is logged, and minor clarifications are noted where appropriate.
We define a substantive correction as any change that alters a factual claim — a price, a model year, a failure pattern, a specification, or a data tag. Typographical errors, grammar fixes, and formatting adjustments are not logged unless they affect meaning.
When a correction is made, the affected page carries a visible note (typically in the summary box or near the corrected data) that states the nature of the change and the date. This entry in the corrections log provides the full context, including the original error, the corrected version, and the reason for the change.
Our policy is fully integrated with our editorial standards and our data methodology — we correct data errors by re-running queries against the source data, never by "adjusting" numbers without verification.
If you spot an error on any page, we want to hear about it. Here's how to tell us.
Email: corrections@mercedesengines.uk (preferred) — please include the page URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and any supporting evidence or source material.
Contact form: Use our contact page and select "Correction" from the subject dropdown.
What happens next: We acknowledge receipt within 48 hours. We then investigate — consulting our data sources, checking against the proprietary data file, and reviewing any third-party references. If we confirm the error, we correct the page and log the change. If we disagree, we explain our position.
We treat every report seriously and appreciate the time taken to help us maintain accuracy.
No correction is made on a single report alone. Every change goes through a verification step.
When an error is reported, we cross-check it against:
EM_Proprietary_Data_2025.txt file, if a data claim is involvedIf the error is confirmed, we update the page, add a visible correction note, and log the change here. If we cannot confirm the error, we may request further evidence or explain our reasoning to the reporter. We never change a figure without being certain.
All corrections are reviewed by a second editor before publication. No single person has authority to make a substantive correction unilaterally.

Accuracy is not a one-time check — it is an ongoing practice. We review our content regularly and update it as new data becomes available.

We also welcome feedback from our readers. If you believe we have missed something or that a claim is no longer accurate, please contact us — we treat every report as an opportunity to improve.
